| Explain what you have experience with and/or why you prefer one over the other. I am kind of a cheap guy and don't know if it would be worth the cost... | ||||||||||||||

| I've had XM for three years and enjoy it very much. I think the only real difference between the two is Sirious has the NFL and Howard Stern and XM has MLB and Opie and Anthony.....in Vegas all the CA MLB teams as well as Arizona are blacked out, so the ability to listen to those games swayed me. | Yeah, I could care less about Howard Stern, but I would like to be able to listen to NFL and NBA games (only offered by Sirius) when I can't get them on TV (which is many games). On the other hand I would be using it to listen to music a lot more than I would be sports and it looks like XM has a lot more music options, with the 'decades' options. Lastly, I dont really know if it will be worth the money for me, since I pretty much get what I want from regular radio (except the commercials). People have said 'once you get it you will love it.' But right now I guess I just don't know what I'm missing and if I don't fork over the extra $ then I may never know (or care). Maybe I'll just spend the extra money on a HD capture card for my HTPC and upgrade my cable/satellite service and get a better package of that, including more sports. Then just turnaround and use my mp3 player more in the car to play the music I like.... ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY INPUT?? | ||||||||||||||

| If you want NFL/NBA, I'd go with Sirius, the music channels aren't all that different. INTEL QX9650 ASUS Maximus Extreme 4GB DDR3-1600 Sapphire HD 3870X2 Danger Den Torture Rack (Custom W/C) Seagate 750GB HDD BFG ES 800W PSU | ||||||||||||||

| personally, i dont believe that the satellite radio scene is being done correctly. Most of the marketing analysts are waitin for sirius and XM to merge, right now its just too diluted. Not to mention with the normal radio stations pushing HD radio now, I dont see a reason to go with satellite. I have HD Radio receiver on my father's car, and it sounds absolutely stunning. I only listen to the local teams in NY anyway so I dont bother with any of the other packages. btw totally off topic, but damn i've been spelling satellite wrong a long time lol | ||||||||||||||

| I had XM with our new honda for 3 months and when the time to start paying for it came I opted not to. I would rather spend my money on something else than pay for radio. Now if I spent a long time driving it would be a different story but @ 40 min a day in the car, local sports talk will suffice. I was kind of underwhelmed with xm. I am not a big radio person, I dont like music on the radio all I listen to is talk radio either sports or NPR. -1 p.s. I voted neither, get an mp3 player and podcast! I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review | ||||||||||||||

| I chose neither because I really do not see the point but if I had to pick one, based on what I have heard from other people, Sirius is the much better service overall. No personal experience with either. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. | ||||||||||||||

| I chose neither. The fact of the matter is that Internet radio is still good enough for me when I need a music, talkshow, or sports kick. | ||||||||||||||
