Default Why me Lord?

This has been a great day!!!
First, the HP all in one dont work rite..
now windows shut down the web cam. What is next?
I reinstalled it 3x and same thing. Windows isnt saying why.I'm ready to re-install windows, thinking I clicked on something or removed something I shouldnt have.I didnt make a restore point yet so can do that. All I get for a few seconds on the webcam is messed up pixels with part of my image there and wild crazy colors..then windows shuts it down. Great day in the hood.

Alright.....slow down......

Vista Ultimate Edition 64-bit.

What WebCam? My wife had issues with her Creative webcam and Vista, mainly because Creative sucks with their driver support.

Run driver cleaner.....make sure you get the driver for it uninstalled. Then delete the floder for it in the C:/Programs folder.......after you do that, go to the Logitech site and download the latest drivers and install them.

sometimes you can shut down whatever program is using it, unplug the cam for 20 seconds, then replug in the cam and restart the program that is using it. no software uninstall/reinstall needed usually

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I have the same camera in Vista x86. The drivers make it go crazy for some reason, I had to unplug the camera, remove the drivers, restart, then plug the camera back in. Vista then downloaded automatically whatever drivers it had found, and it's been fine ever since.

I have a Logitech express/go camera that I got at wally world for $20 and that works just fine on XP and Vista x64 (of course the networking is dead in my Vista so not like the cam does any good)
