Why It's Important To Understand English

Last month I had a bunch of Canadian dollars I needed to exchange, so I went to the currency exchange window at the local bank. Short line. Just one guy in front of me...an Asian guy who was trying to exchange yen for dollars, and he was a little irritated!
He asked the teller, "Why it change?? Yestoday, I get two huna dolla of yen. Today I get huna eighty?? Why it change?"
The teller shrugged her shoulders and said, "Fluctuations."
The Asian guy says, "Fluc you white people too!"

Heard it before. Was funny then and still is. Being that it's the joke room, and the joke isn't anywhere near racist IMHO, I think it's all good.

You should hear what Koreans say about white dudes like me that try to talk to them in their language! Regardless of the fact that Koreans think Americans smell like milk.

Well, in all fairness, some folks are more sensitive than others.

Personally I believe the joke to be ethnocentic rather than racist, but each their own. We must all form our own opinions.

Shit if you found that offensive, talk to me for 5 min. Approximately 514 Million people in this world speak English. It's the 2nd most spoken language in the world. With Mandarin (Chinese) being the 1st. I have been all over Asia, and even the poor speak some English. Thanks to the Internet, Music, Movies, and Popular Culture, almost everyone in the world has been exposed to English. So unless you live in some remote village somewhere with no connection to the outside world, you have been exposed to English.
