| I don't understand it. The very nature of a forum is to communicate and attempt to reach agreement on various areas and mutually benefit. Whats up with people having a fit and getting cranky and leaving? This is a great place ... I doubt many better ... and the team that leads here has experience and integrity and listens reasonably well. So whats up? Is there something in the water? I can understand stresses make people pop ... but c'mon ... I think it is pretty childish to not communicate through issues with alacrity. | Colonel Calamity | I dunno.... I have a fairly thick skin (until it gets personal) and have my share of issues lately but I am still here. Some people think its a free internet so they can say what they want, others expect a dic-tater-ship with all small squabbles squashed... in the end it is impossible to make everyone happy... ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | If someone cant take a small disagreement once in a while it's their problem and up to them if they decide to stay or not. This is the nicest forum I've ever seen on the web and I don't think anyones out to cause grief. Last edited by qazwsx; June 17th, 2008 at 10:41. Reason: replacing i's with I's |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | I'd like to think I (and the mods) do a pretty good job of keeping things fun and interesting around here. Everyone is treated well, and we do lots of stuff for the community. If there is a problem, or we have someone getting a little out of control, I'll usually email or PM them a couple of times in hope of bringing them back from the dark side.....but as far as chasing people off, or banning anyone, thats extremely rare. I've banned 3 non-spammers in three years, and all of them were unbanned within a week. Why do we have a lot of drive by posters? Probably because we focus on the beginner segment of system building/upgrading. People come here to get started, or get help.....then they go out and do whatever they bought their system for.....thats the nature of a support forum. When I see us with 25-30 regular members on line at any given time, it makes me feel good....there are much bigger sites that don't have close to that activity. EDIT: I will say that it seems like lately there have been a few short fuses. A lot of times, people's real life impacts how they act online. Like I said, I'll tolerate a lot, and try to bring people back from the dark side........but at the same time, I expect people to act mature and fit into what we have established as a community. I would never tolerate anyone being chased off. INTEL E8400 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 4GB DDR3-1600 // Palit HD 4870 // Antec 1200 // Seagate 750GB HDD // Zalman CNPS9700 // BFG ES 800W PSU |

| Functional Alcoholic | We are all human, we all have our own personalities, opinions, likes, and dislikes. Some people will not get a long with each other no matter how hard you try. The members here for the most part are very respectful of each other, and when there are differences of opinion, or personality conflicts, they are usually resolved in a peaceful manner. However there are some people that feel that leaving the community is the best way to deal with their situation. Some leave more dramatically then others. The bottom line is be an adult, and don't take things to such an extreme that it causes turmoil for the whole site. We don't want anyone to leave, and we feel that everyone has something to contribute. No one knows everything, and everyone has their strong and weak points. The whole point of this community is to learn from each other. The know it all 1337 attitude isn't what we want to portray here. If worse comes to worse, and you can't resolve conflicts with other members we would rather you use the ignore feature then to leave the community with hurt feelings and a bad attitude. | Seeing as how I just came back I haven't seen many of the new members leaving. I've just come back and intend to continue posting. Real life had taken a grip on me (graduated from high school). From my experience here, members always have arguements and disagreements between each other and one always gets up and leaves. You see, I love Hitman and when I got up and left I missed him so much I had to come back. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 Last edited by Hitman; June 17th, 2008 at 12:56.
