| Whenever I'm in a forum - regardless of the basis for the forum - I like to find out what my fellow posters like music wise. I apologize if this has been done before... I like almost anything - Blues, Jazz, New Age, and have even gotten more tolerant of Country as I've grown older - but I mostly listen to Metal and Classic Rock. The last few years have seen some darkening in my musical choices, with my Death and Black Metal collection increasing more. I'm probably the only one I know who's nearly 40 and listening to stuff like that ![]() :thrasher: If it's not fixed, then don't broke it! |

| Level 2 College Student | Metal (almost all forms of) including swampmetal, powermetal, epicmetal, etc. Some examples: -Children of Bodom -Kalmah -Dragonforce -Ensiferum -Fintroll (sometimes) -Warmen Rock (i guess thats what its called?) -Rolling stones -Iron Maiden SOME Rap -T.I. (King = pwnage) -N.W.A. (but mostly as a joke Other stuff. Too lazy to categorize -Rammstein -Coldplay -Yngwie Malmstein (can't spell, too lazy to look up :)) -Hans Zimmer [awesome!] -(some) Michael Jackson -Gnarles Barkley -Johnny Cash -S.O.A.D -Adult Entertainment Music (Instruments only.. pervs...) (fun to listen to) -Lots of others Pretty much anything except hick country (If the song contains the words "Barbecue sauce" or "white t-shirt" or "rodeo" more than 3 times) [see also: Garth Brooks] and Punk/Emo. Especially punk/emo bands that try to be metal, but fail miserably. |

| T-Rex | Pretty much anything. My taste can vary alot. Sometimes metal, sometimes classic, sometimes hip-hop, sometimes electronic etc etc It all depends how I feel that day. I'm currently listening to alot of electronic, more precisely Tiga. Tiga is a DJ from Montreal, makes some of the most addictive eletronic songs if you want my opinion. :P |

| Add NIN to Zambini's list and you've got my tastes down. I like classic rock like pink floyd, led zep etc, and you can't beat Johnny Cash for drinkin music. |

| Yeah, I just don't get the whole emo-rock thing. To me, these aren't bands, but guys who seem like they're more concerned with the trendy looking haircuts and fitting into the clothes from Ambercrombie, Hollister or whatever. Regardless of form, I like music that's honest. That's probably why I gravitate toward metal, because IMO it has more honesty and integrity to it than 1000 emo bands. It doesn't conform to what test groups or society at large wants to hear, though that may have been debatable in the 80s... To me, there are few bands more honest than Dark Tranquillity or Dimmu Borgir. If it's not fixed, then don't broke it! |

| Blues, Jazz, rock, rock and roll........most "good" music regardless of genre. Collection goes all the way from Handel to the latest rock. Only stuff I have always really disliked is the inane pap so called pop music that the music charts get filled with. Personal favourites include: The Cowboy Junkies/Norah Jones/Joy Division/Ian Hunter/Katie Melua/Lou Reed/Talk Talk/Lloyd Cole, and Buddy Guy. A pretty diverse lot. ![]() You should fold!!! | Pretty much anything. I really don't care for Rap though. I have a few CD's but those are mainly for my kids when we go somewhere. I think they just like for me turn up the Bass and pound the he!! out of my poor 10's in the trunk.![]() |
