i freaked out because of the noise my house was making along with the waves. i had no idea how big it was going to be when it happened and i was hoping the waves would stop. i would say there were 2 or 3 medium sized waves followed by about 10 small waves.

Thus another reason years ago I packed my toys and departed California. I hated those damn things! That's the thing, they begin and you wonder how long it will be and how strong it will be. Seconds seem to become minutes (or longer), as you sit there with a sinking feeling of being helpless.

I got tired of earthquakes, fires, and floods combined with high cost and decided to bid farewell to the "Golden State". Then too, in Ohio I traded earthquakes for tornadoes.

I felt one small one many many years ago when we were there.... never again if I have the choice. there is nothing scarier than feeling everything shake and knowing that if it is big this very wall you are standing by may come down on top of you... even scarier than hurricanes and I have been through a few of them too (one in my truck).
