Default Very Cool Machine!

This is the car I've been trying to get a look at for awhile now, but there aren't any dealers with any to show, since these cars are usually sold before they even reach the showroom. Actually, this is the Shelby GT and not the Shelby GT-500. The ShGT will pump out 350HP, which is 150HP shy of what the GT-500 will give, but it is still an A** kicker for sure! I have the 4.0V6, but one can dream, right? The standard GT does about 300HP, which is still more power than anyone around here needs, but you can have this 350HP monster for the low, low dealer asking price of around 80K (this includes the 35K dealer markup, which they are willing to drop 10K if you ask nice).

I was having my 4.0 serviced, and decided to wander into the showroom and see what they had. I was definitely impressed with this car! I love the look of it! I wished I could've taken it on a test run, but they won't do it, since it was probably already paid for anyway. The Mustang in the background in that one pic is the Shelby GT-H, the one Ford built for Hertz Rent-a-car. I wasn't as impressed with that one looks wise, but it is still supposed to perform despite a few drawbacks, from what I've heard.

If it's not fixed, then don't broke it!

It's a nice car, that much I won't deny, but it's still a Mustang...

I prefer the 383 strokers myself.

True enough...With the exception of the Cobra logo and a differently designed front end, racing stripes and color, not to mention the engine - this car looks like mine. But I guess it's just the idea of the raw power this car will put out that makes me look at it in a different light. I test drove an 06 GT coupe, and my god...I took it around a corner near the dealership and opened it up, and I was like "Oh My God!" And that was on 300hp, and not this cars' 350 ponies - I can only imagine what that's like.

I hear ya! I still miss my 1990 Camaro RS, and it's small block 305... That car had some serious punch, and a nice low end. I always liked hearing how my wife could hear my car coming before I pulled into the driveway.
