User name???

Ok, what made all of you pick your user name for HL forums, or any forum???

Personally, the very first time that I got broadband internet, I tried to get just Stinger, but of coarse it was taken

So they did an automatic user name of stinger608, and I pretty much have just stuck with that

I guess it makes it easy to remember, of course being so young, I still have a memory like a steal trap

This should be a pretty fun thread, finding out how members come up with there user names :-)

yellowhello... Here goes.

I was Halloween about 3 years ago. Me and my friend, Koa (he's Hawaiian) were going around my my other friends house, Eli, and me made up this stupid little immature rhyme me were going to say when he opened the door. I was going to say, "I'll give you a yellow hello" and Koa was going to say, " And I'll give you a brown bellow". It was funny then, (we were all 10yo) and I guess it stuck.

RepliCarter is a nickname for Replicator Carter, Samantha Carter's evil twin in season 8 of Stargate SG-1.

I also use the username Tokoya, which was the name of an editor that never showed his face and wore tacky wrestling masks. He was from the old Playstation Magazine(PSM), and I liked him. :p

In the semester of '04, I decided to write a story for my girlfriend. She's an English major and enjoys those kinds of things. I had gotten tons of inspiration from The Count of Monte Cristo, had an idea of what I wanted to write about, and went for it. The story was brimming with symbolism. Long story short, there were two characters that were symbols of my girlfriend and myself. I chose Latin to name the two characters. Her name (in real life, mind you) is Star, so I chose Sidus for her name. The name for my character was a bit different; I'm intrigued by the majesty of the darkness of things, so I chose the name Noctis (which literally translates to "he who belongs to the night"). Both names sounded really cool and ancient, so they stuck.
Edit: Oh, and Reitop is my last name spelled backwards. It was my first "nickname" so to speak, in my effords to find a cool sound name that was ancient. These days, Noctis is often taken and also to keep all of my logins standard, I've adapted it to NoctisReitop (It's never taken ^^)

Indeed! Let's hope someone doesn't start a post about the meaning of their chosen avatars. I'd hate to have you reply that your avatar symbolizes the amount of dental work you need.

Yea, that was good old One4 giving me that about a month or so ago, when indeed I reallllllllly had some dental problems

jokerswild - I tried joker but that is used everywhere and jokerswild is used by others also and I have to add numbers to it at times. Where it came from? I have no sense of humor so I thought that it was good for that reason.
