| Colonel Calamity | cute spam ![]() I could do it (and have)... get all the parts laid out and the cases prepped on the top of a decent sized work bench and I could and have done it. A computer shop I worked for some years back (during the Socket A and intro of the S754 days), we had a small contest of who could build the most complete systems in 2 hours. The kicker was that every single one had to work and boot into windows install process. We were not disqualified for bad hardware, just given 10 more minutes to replace the bad parts. My record was 9 systems, all of which booted first try. Only one had a bad stick of memory but that was not found until awhile later when windows started acting up. Another guy did 11, but 6 of them did not boot and he ended up frying 7 sticks of memory from not being seated properly plus 2 dialup modems. The systems were all the same since a local company had ordered 40 computers, all with the same specs which were AthonXP 3000+, 1GB of RAM (2sticks of 512MB), 160GB of HD, standard 40X CD burner, Ti4600 AGP video cards, Creative Live sound cards, a dialup modem and a PCI serial port card. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair!
