Default Today i built 6 computers in 3 hours

So today i had a really interesting experience. At left-click we were contracted to build a bunch of computers for cash registers for a local Co-op grocery store. I had today to build 6 computers, so that's a computer every half hour...
These were VERY poorly built, teenie tiny mATX foxconn boxes that flexed everywhere, and i had to figure out how to mount all 3 of the harddrives, (3x redundant RAID array) with a PSU that wasn't long enough to extend to all 3 plus the optical they required...

No OS thankfully, but we already built a server that updates a special homebrew (the mods, anyways,) ubuntu distro that auto-updates with prices to all the other cash registers, and the other backup server

Anyways, it was neat, and i just thought i'd share

Sounds like a fun day. Even if you're not building an enthusiast PC, you're still building a PC which is always great. (Or at least more fun than a visit to the dentist's office.)

I spent yesterday setting up a home network and put an XPS Dell back into service after sitting idle for a year. Spent hours getting rid of all the crap (both factory installed and owner added) as well as hundreds of pages of porn. (Kid was a pervert!) Added new programs, updated, got rid of all the viruses, trojans, adware, etc.

Not a bad way to pass the time when it's ten below zero outside.

6 boxes are pretty darn impressive! it takes me about an hour and a half from boxes of gear to booting windows......... but.....I need more specs than "teenie tiny mATX foxconn boxes that flexed everywhere" !!!!
