If you haven't seen this, it's a real hoot. (Be sure to watch all four parts.)

Nice advertisement. I'm totally down for a home server. The rig in my signature is our home server. Granted data is back up on a huge RAID array on my dads PC, our computer are all networked and can share at speeds of 100mbps. The wireless N PC in our house can get like 250mbps roughly speaking.

Home servers are great, like our kodak easyshare camera is hooked up to my dads PC and the pictures from the camera automatically transfer to a network folder... It was a bit tricky to get the XP computer on the network to be able to see the Vista PCs but I figured it out. Everything is password protected etc.

Two of my neighbors have Wifi networks that I can pick up. One uses WPA encryption but the other is totally unsecured...

I also use DynDNS to host a webpage with Apache2... This is great because I can use SSL and access my files from any PC that has internet. I can stream my MP3 while at college. I also have an FTP, which I let my friends use and basically anyone who needs FTP access can use it so if you are interested, shoot me a PM. You can have as much space as you would like.
