Default Starting New Job

Woot I start Monday doing customer service ie: tech for the Blackberry phones. Training for 3 weeks then a swingshift position. That is if this sluggish old brain can absorb the info.

Congrats? I cringe because I'd be horrible at it, but if you like it and they pay you money to show up, that's awesome! Long term or is a summer thing?

I read the tech support threads here and...well...I don't envy the positions.

I don't know if I'll like it but it's better than digging a ditch.

These days any job is a good job and I have little doubt you will do just fine with it. Best wishes and luck with it. Just do your thing and it should go fine.

Ron

Hehe, digging ditches is fun too! A Cat 416C helps, but what the heck ;)

Yes, send it to me with a check for $400.00 and a stamped self addressed envelope. The envelope is so I can send you a thank you card for the money.

tech support isn't that bad as long as you can get past these people that call asking dumb stuff like "how does it turn on" or "how do I get the charger from my RC car to charge this thing?"
I work my 30-something hours per week on the phone doing tech support and customer service for an ISP and the most annoying ones are the ones that call with the question and halfway through the question they start going off on other things... and a 5 minute call takes 30 minutes because they won't get to the point or listen to you on how to fix it. Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> Dialup networking -> Create a new connection... ok thats a cute story about your dog... what version windows is this again? You don't know? Oh it says Windows 95? ok yes we have lots of squirrels here too.....
I am so laid back IRL that I just sit back and laugh about it... because I know I am paid hourly

Thanks HL and Corsair!
