| Be sure to check out my OFFICIAL Signature Request Thread AND my OFFICIAL Photoshop Mini-Guides Thread!!! ANY Member can add me on MSN MESSENGER ^> stixx.3@gmail.com or even SKYPE ^> stixx.3 and talk about the wallpapers, request things (not only wallpapers, sigs, avatars, etc.) and to talk some details about them. or just to talk ;-) i've been slightly more contained lately with my photoshopping, and have decided to share some of my most recent pieces. some of them require explanations that i will not give you. this means you're gonna have to come up with your own - this is what i aim for. everyone interprets everything completely differently. if i tell you how i interpret my work, you will be compelled to interpret it in a completely similar or the same way. So please, study them for a few seconds, scan them over more than once (like you should read a poem - and i have those, too, but thats later) and the more you do it the better you (should) comprehend what you think it's supposed to mean. thanks guys. p.s. these particular walls are in 1600x1200 or 1920x1440 format. if you have a widescreen monitor, i'll be able to convert them for you. let me know the resolution. most will be 1920x1200, and for the 1600x1200 it might be a bit tougher since i need to add 80 pixels to the width, but i'll see what i can do for you guys custom. click here to download the RAR (6 files inside, 8.52MB, JPEG FULL quality) ----- MOST RECENT UPDATE: JULY 12, 2007 BLACK/GREEN WALLPAPER (Computer-Ed and gvblake have been waiting for this one): Full Screen (1600x1200) Wide Screen 16:10 (Computer Monitor) (1920x1200) Wide Screen 16:9 (HDTV) (1920x1080) This was quicker than some of the others, but I still like it. It was much different than my initial image in my mind, but I'll be making a new black-green one eventually. ----- thanks! Last edited by [Dr. V]; July 13th, 2007 at 09:25. | ||||||||||||||

| I'm not a fan of this "type" of things but I liked wall05.jpg. :) wall01.jpg isn't bad either but the black part in the middle pops out too much for my taste and I dunno, it just seems violent. ![]() ![]() If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you? | ||||||||||||||

| oo im glad you have an interesting understanding about wall01. wallo5 (simply because most may not know) features the Armenian flag colours in the middle (red, blue, orange) with a background of...well w/e you want it to be. wall04 was particularly my favourite... lets say i called it "Chaos or Tranquility?" maybe it will help. thanks! | ||||||||||||||

| Finally got a chance to check out your creations and I have to say I'm very impressed! I especially like #'s 2, 3, and 4. They remind me of my current favorite wallpaper... ![]() What did you use to create these? I would like to see more! ![]() Last edited by gvblake22; May 23rd, 2007 at 16:07. | ||||||||||||||

| Thank you very much blake! I'm in the midst of crating some more. I wanted to make one with a white background and an intensely colourful design like your current wallpaper; simply didn't have the time for that particular approach. I'll most likely start it tonight, but it won't be done for a bit. I'm actually using Photoshop. CS3 to be exact, although it shouldn't matter all that much. Check this one out, tell me what you think. I like orange, so i decided to "showcase?" it a tad bit more than the others, but not in a humongous way. I hope you guys like it! Full Screen (1600x1200) Widescreen (1920x1200 - This was the size I designed it in, and resized/remastered it to conform properly to full screen) Last edited by gvblake22; May 23rd, 2007 at 19:05. | OOHHHH, I do like the orange/red/yellow colors with the black and white you got goin' on there. Maybe try and make it look like the strokes of color have more "depth" to them to give it more of a 3 dimensional look? Like the sweeps of color are suspended in water or smoke plumes in the air... ![]() And what tools are you using to make the effects in photoshop? It looks amazing! | ||||||||||||||

| There are certain brushes that I use, (you wouldn't know its only about 5 or 6) and then it's mostly personal preference from there. Blending and everything is done manually; I really like using the blur tool, burn tool, and there are lots of cool new things in CS3. In general, i have 5 main brushes, and with all those you can see about 50 independent designs. It's not the amount, it's how you use what you have. Hey...it's in SOME way related to the famous line... :D I'll be working on a "revision" of that piece tomorrow. Tonight I just wanted to conjure something up as a base. That's most definitely not a finalized piece, but overall, especially considering the conditions I was experiencing when I created it (fatigue, so much work to do, rushed through it a bit, stupid CRT monitor which is dying, etc.), I'm quite content -- for now. I'll be adding more periodically. Thanks guys! P.S. I like what blake did with that little tip - that'd be great if I could get some of those from people; always enjoy constructive criticism to improve upon what I do -- it's part of life...well mine anyway, can't speak for others. Cheers! | ||||||||||||||
