Default Simple Inhibition's APO Address

Blair is a big part of the HL family, and saying as he's deployed to the big litter box for the Holiday Season....I thought I'd post his address over there so anyone who wants can send him some snacks, reading material, or anything else you might think can take away some of the hardship of serving our country in combat overseas during the Holidays.

My pm to him was to get a list of things he likes so that he'll enjoy whatever is sent. Once he got back to me I was going to post.

I'll add it here or he can.

I've been in those shoes myself many times before. Getting care packages through the mail while deployed is about the only thing that keeps you sane while over there.

That's a great idea, Rich!

I'll try to send something if I can. He's an awesome guy :)

Sorry to see we lost part of this thread.

I've purchased a lot of stuff. All I really have to get is shampoo bottles & make cookies.

Can someone tell me what the best way to ship to him would be? I've never shipped to an APO - so I'm not sure if the post office or UPS is best.

I think the post office is the only way but I'm not positive.

Sending to an APO is best when done via the USPS since it is an extension
of it anyways. My friends and family have attempted in the past to send via UPS or FedEX and it actually delays the shipment overseas since the packages or letters have to go through more steps in the process.

Also avoid sending liquids or items prohibited in the area he is in, else the package will be delayed getting to him even more, or not at all.

Non-perishable goods, or goods that can last at least 3-4 weeks while in transit or best.
From my friends over there a good thing to send is pre-paid calling cards, personal hygiene(sp)
items and lot's of reading material. AA batteries are also a hard to get/keep in stock item over there.

I have lived at an APO address for a total of about 8 years. USPS is the only way to ship to an APO. To use UPS or FedEX it has to be shipped to a physical address.
