Default Save internet radio

I'm writing today to ask for your help. The survival of Pandora and all of Internet radio is in jeopardy because of a recent decision by the Copyright Royalty Board in Washington, DC to almost triple the licensing fees for Internet radio sites like Pandora. The new royalty rates are irrationally high, more than four times what satellite radio pays and broadcast radio doesn't pay these at all. Left unchanged, these new royalties will kill every Internet radio site, including Pandora.

In response to these new and unfair fees, we have formed the SaveNetRadio Coalition, a group that includes listeners, artists, labels and webcasters. I hope that you will consider joining us.

Please sign our petition urging your Congressional representative to act to save Internet radio: Savenetradio.org

Please feel free to forward this link/email to your friends - the more petitioners we can get, the better.

Understand that we are fully supportive of paying royalties to the artists whose music we play, and have done so since our inception. As a former touring musician myself, I'm no stranger to the challenges facing working musicians. The issue we have with the recent ruling is that it puts the cost of streaming far out of the range of ANY webcaster's business potential.

I hope you'll take just a few minutes to sign our petition - it WILL make a difference. As a young industry, we do not have the lobbying power of the RIAA. You, our listeners, are by far our biggest and most influential allies.

As always, and now more than ever, thank you for your support.

You kill me sometimes Joker. I've never understood why there's such a reluctance to allow the Internet to become the major source of our music listening needs. TV networks have embraced the Internet as a means of enhancing their programming and have found much success. When people are able to catch the shows they missed on the web site, they are more likely to watch the next one when they can catch it. So why don't more radio stations broadcast over the net as well? Why are they trying to stifle it with high costs?

I was gonna do it, but I have my phone number listed with the National Do Not Call, and by putting your number down, gives them the right to call. If it could be sent without the phone number, I would have gladly signed it. I still get way too many "unwanted" calls from sources that legally slid under the restriction on the do not call list. but I'm rooting for the good cause it is!

You don't have to give your phone number. There's no * by that box.

I know, but when I tried to send it, the window popped back up and there were instructions in RED that, in order to send it, I had to fill in all boxes, and phone number was one of them. I'll try it again just to make sure I ain't wrong. I think it's a good petition, not that anything will come of it tho. Them bubbleheads in DC don't listen to the people any more!!!

I clicked the button to send by email, this is what came up after clicking the send button:
Phone

Phone field is required for selected delivery type

Guess

Don't forget to copy and paste the statement in the box on the left to the box on the right.
