Default San Fran Zoo Tiger Attack

Looks like the folks involved weren't quite as innocent as they'd like us to believe. Could this make them eligible for Darwin Awards - drunk, stoned, taunting a tiger? Sounds like they got what they deserved.

Years ago....there was a guy that had a few "cats" caged up that you could go see ,locally here, on the back side of a motel parking lot area etc. One night, the "caretaker worker", came out of the lounge and went to "feed" the "cats" and ended up getting injured , due to his intoxication (stupidity). Confusious say " booze and cat no good for one's health"

The affidavit also cites multiple reports of a group of young men taunting animals at the zoo, the Chronicle reported.
Mark Geragos, an attorney for the Dhaliwal brothers, did not immediately return a call late Thursday by The Associated Press for comment. He has repeatedly said they did not taunt the tiger.
Calls to Sousa and Michael Cardoza, an attorney for the Sousa family, also weren't returned.
Toxicology results for Dhaliwal showed that his blood alcohol level was 0.16—twice the legal limitfor driving, according to the affidavit. His 24-year-old brother, Kulbir, and Sousa also had alcohol in their blood but within the legal limit, Matthews wrote.
All three also had marijuana in their systems, Matthews said. Kulbir Dhaliwal told police that the three had smoked pot and each had "a couple shots of vodka" before leaving San Josefor the zoo on Christmas Day, the affidavit said.Police found a small amount of marijuana in Kulbir Dhaliwal's 2002 BMW, which the victims rode to the zoo, as well as a partially filled bottle of vodka, according to court documents.
Dear Families

The State of California, The City of San Francisco, and the San Francisco Zoo regret to inform you that your son is dead because he was stupid. We further regret to inform all attorneys involved your clients (including dead clients) will not see a dime.

Thank You & Have A Nice Day

Regretfully my heart has gone out to the tiger since day one. What a bunch of assholes!

Ron

Ron, Since I heard the story coming out about the alcohol and drugs, I felt no sympathy for them, let the tiger do what it needs to, Darwin is handing out some new awards

Absolutely! I mean you get stoned and drunk, and then piss off a tiger, you are really setting yourself up. That was what was suspected all along.

Next enter a few attorneys who introduce all to the sweet smell of money.

The only victim I have seen here is the poor tiger who paid with his life doing what a tiger naturally does. What is needed is an attorney to represent the dead tiger and sue over the tiger's wrongful death.

Pretty stupid to tease a tiger. The zoo's wall was too low also if you've been following this story. That tiger should never have gotten out in the first place.

I haven't been to a zoo in a while, but how would three young men - drunk and stoned, no doubt - get into a zoo? Not that I would expect breathalyzers and cops at the entrance, but don't they usually exhibit behavior that might seem a bit odd?

I'll give them that. The wall being slightly lower has been an issue all along. I guess the question becomes if it was too low? The wall was not to some design specifications but I don't know what is or is not considered adequate. Things seemed to work fine till a few people decided to taunt a tiger. Again, I have no clue how long things were set up that way.

Overall, I just don't see where any individual or family should receive compensation. We seem to be developing a culture in this country where really stupid people are rewarded for doing really stupid things.

Somehow when things play out in court it is not the victims fault but the fault of someone or something else. The judicial system seems at times to be more enmeshed with justifying the actions of stupid people. Then rewarding them for doing stupid things.

Ron

My sentiments gazactly...where was security when these intoxicated individuals were there? Security not only protects the people, but the welfare of the animales as well.
