That is awesome! I wonder how well it would deal with larger SUVs and such? Nice find mithos!

They already have this system in Japan and Singapore. It reminds me of a Car Vending Machine.

I think it was originally in the Volkswagen Main building in Germany, at one of the warehouses, although it was a bit different mechanism of lifting and storing cars.

As for SUVs, the last bit of the clip showed what i assume to be an SUV, that black suburban car thing, ithink it was a GMC.

That saves having to remember where you parked and the trek to and from the car. I wonder though how that would work after a concert downtown maybe have to wait awhile to get your car.

Exactly what I was thinking. If there were a lot of people lined up to get their car, it might be a long wait. But if there were that many people all trying to get out of the typical parking lot at the same time, I guess the same problem would arise. Would really come down to if you would rather wait standing outside in a line to get your car or wait in your car to get out of the parking lot

I'll just walk....

Knowing my luck, the sign would read....Mr. Black, your vehicle's hydraulic pad is currently undergoing unexpected repairs. Your vehicle will be available in 30 minutes....3 hours.....3 days.....would you care for a Subway pass?

That is hella sweet. The future of parking right there.
