Default Repair Shipping Reimbursement

My 24" Acer LCD blew out a couple weeks ago, and since it was still within its warrenty period, I sent it away to be repaired.

If I nagged them a bit, do you think I could have any luck getting reimbursed for the shipping? The thing is huge, and cost me $45 to UPS it to them...

It's doubtful, but it can't hurt to try. For future reference, you'd likely have better luck trying to convince a company to setup prepaid return shipping, rather than trying to get them to cut a check after the fact.

Thanks, I'll shoot them an email.

Does newegg do prepayeds for RMA's? I also sent something back to them.

Not by default, but I've never had to return anything large enough to Newegg where it would have mattered, so I can't say what their policy might be like for bigger items or specific products.

Some companies offer prepaid return shipping by default. Ror example Dell is fantastic about this, and for all the criticism the company receives from enthusiasts over its OEM system builds, it's a great company to buy peripherals and accessories from, both big and small.

The way I see it,and what I have been through before is....as far as HP goes,I had a new monitor go boink..(under warranty) called them,went through alot of trouble shoot on the phone,(was BS because already went through the motions) but did it anywho.....made the guy happy.....then he gave me an RMA# and sent me an empty box for my monitor....then after recieving my monitor....sent me a factory refurbished one.
Even though my monitior was much less than 30 days old,I still recieved a factory rebuild with warranty a few days later.
