| Congratulations on the RECOMMENDATION PAGE upgrade... HL Staff really do a very great job... I just want to ask why should the budget recommendation be at $750.00, coz comming from a cheapstake like me, i would only consider a budget rig on a tight $500.00, but none the less it is a great selection. and btw the AMD setups on the recommendation page, where awesome makes me want to build a AMD coz of the prize drops... :D Keep it up guys... | Well maybe there needs to be the Gamers and the Surfers budget. I guess what I'm getting at, is not everyone, including myself, games. So maybe there should be two types of budget builds. JM.02,Bailey. | ||||||||||||||

| The Recommendation list is a general list of suggested parts. With so many different companies, and parts to choose from we are trying to give users a starting point. Everyone has different needs and uses for their computer. We recognize that not everyone is a gamer. Any computer is capable of surfing the internet, most of our users do more with their computers then just surf the internet. So we wanted to recommend parts that would fit a wide range of needs. We encourage people to post in the General Computing forum when they are building their computer, to insure they are getting the best parts for their money, and that fit their computing needs. Due to the ever changing tech market the best parts today, won't necessarily be the best parts for tomorrow. | ||||||||||||||

| The time has come for Revenge of the Nerds!
| Use the lists as a starting point, and then fine tune in the forum. If we made a recommended build for every type of situation (budget gamer, budget CAD user, budget musician, budget web surfer, mid ranger gamer, mid ranger overclocker, mid range gaming overclocker, mid range stock gamer, etc) we're turn something simple into a convoluted mess. | ||||||||||||||

| The Final Word
| Just to elaborate on a few things. The Recommended Hardware Lists are updated at least monthly, sometimes more often as we review hardware and feel it is better than our current recommended component, this is the first time that I've decided to add the list to our article list on the mainpage, and judging by the feedback and emails I've gotten, we'll continue to do things this way. As to the pricing and such, thats just the way we do it, if we did a list for everything, we'd be dedicated to that full time....as it is, we touch on the fact that the list is a general guideline, and can be tweaked depending on your budget and needs......we also have the forums where we can discuss specific needs. | now now i'm not trying to criticize the Recommendation Page Hitman, what i'm saying is most of the people looking at these pages are younger gen which is really on tight budget. dont get me wrong i love the recommendations, i'm just expressing my personal choice of prize for the budget rig. and you'll all right its very hard to build something below $750 specially for gamers, but "most" of the people i talk to, they like a computer you know for a budget that is what i describe tight. finally, i'm just here to give my praise coz its really a great work... so again keep it up... | Didn't take it that way. As explained the budget recommendation is just a starting point, adjustments can be made. | ||||||||||||||
