|  This is the real India.... Just came across this article on Reuters. This is basically how an Indian village runs to this day. | Re: This is the real India.... creepy but true, most third world and poverty stricken country like my homeland(Philippines), belief in occult, witchcraft, voodoo, ghost and other form idolatry is very prominent. it is due to the lack of education, form of information distribution, and mainly government neglect leading all back to poverty... we conducted during college in my nursing school, (6years ago) health education in rural area, and i was in shock in the methods of their first aid, and emergency management, i never thought they still practice such methods that would violate all that i've learn in healthcare... and its very sad due to this situations, lack of education/proper knowledge they becomes stubborn little pricks when you try to correct them, even just to reason with them. Since they grew up in those blackmagic stuff witchcraft or whatever they used to do, it makes it so difficult to educate them, they are not so willing to accept modern science and these also goes with old type of gypsy people, but don't get me wrong more and more gypsy are accepting modern healthcare methods... i'm just saying it from exp...
