Question for Web Hosting - Keeping a Redirect URL!

Hey guys.

My friend has tonnes of webspace and he allowed me to use a whole chunk of it. I have a website in mind but it's definitely not the same title as his website name.

Basically, I want to go to one of those sites like TinyURL or something and get a generic web address to my section of the server - but having it stay that way in the Address Bar rather than reverting to the original website name. Basically, I want a redirect that doesn't act like one.

Any ideas?

Buy a domain name from a place like Domain Name Registration, E-mail, Web Hosting and forward the web address to your buddies domain.

if he has a reseller's package with WHM or something of the like he could set u up with your own domain instead of being on his domain.

Is there a simple cheap (free) way of doing this?

On the TinyURL website I see some info about "Hide URL", but I can't find a way to actually access that feature.

DynDns offers free redirection service with some limitation. I've used it a ton of times before (both their dynamic and static services) and they're reliable and work well.
