| I did a quick search of Newegg and I was REALLY surprised at what I saw: Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB 800MHz - $115: Newegg.com - Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB 667MHz - $246: Newegg.com - Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail How is it that 667MHz RAM is more than 800MHz RAM, and more than double it's price at that? The memory market has gone crazy. | Well, granted, the timings on the 667Mhz sticks are a bit tighter, but that doesn't explain a $135.00 price difference sans rebate on the 800Mhz kit. |

| Ya, really doesn't explain justify spending all that extra........... I mean CAS from 4 (on the 800MHz) to 3 (on the 667MHz) doesn't do it for me............... | I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Comes down to supply and demand, as it pertains to Newegg. While they're the preferred retailer of most enthusiasts, they're not necessarily indicative of the market as a whole. For example, you can pick up that same $246 kit of RAM at mWave for $98.50 plus shipping... |

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | B&H has it in stock (one of the few places that does) for $117 shipped. You can even get it on Crucial's website for $100 cheaper than what Newgg's charging... |
