i find this funny... and i could agree a bit, coz its really difficult at work when i get patients that don't have the slightest idea of an english word. dont get me wrong i'm a foreign born, and i was just lucky my country impose english from kindergarten to college, but dealing with chinese, romainian, japanese, itilian, spanish, polish and russian and what ever country i didnt mention, is very very prone for jeopardy at work, not only for medical errors and misinterpretations too ...

The message is why should we have to dial a # to hear a message in English when it's the native language or have to sort through languages on a sign or paperwork to find the English version of something. Personally I don't care if someone comes here and doesn't speak English, thats their choice. I don't expect any other country to cater to me because I don't speak their language.

Ya, I agree that English should be the main language that is spoken in the US. I see this sort of thing all the time, living real close to Salinas, CA, which has a huge non-English speaking community. Immigrants are fine, but if there coming to the US, they better know English.
