I think most here are too young to remember him....hell, i barely remember the assassination attempts on him. I think he's been pretty unfairly slammed for pardoning Nixon, mainly because in hindsight the stuff Nixon did, and was accused of doing, was no worse than some of the stuff our more popular Presidents in history have gotten away with.

At least he didn't give his wife a cold one!

I would be sad for him, but he lived a complete and full life. I don't remember his presidency however

I barely remember Ford as president, the first president I really remember was Carter (Who is next to pass away). I agree Nixon was crucified for something that was blown out of proportion. The nation was in a bad situation back then with the Vietnam War ending, and the nation being torn apart, I think Nixon was used as a whipping post.

hmmmmm, maybe we need a "Dead Pool".......my money is on George Bush Sr.

As to Nixon, its funny how public perception can dictate a President.....for all the talk you hear about JFK, he was a real scumbag....as was the whole Kennedy family, yet because he was young, and ambitious, not to mention a playboy, a lot of things were overlooked.

Nixon was actually a very good president, the Watergate Scandal really had nothing to do with how he ran the Country.
