| "you smell sumthin"? | When wiring a mobo, I know some connectors only fit one way. But,some that are not one way such as,the small leads that come from the power switch, led etc.. do they have to be (the 2 prong) in a certain direction on the mobo pins(-+) ? Maybe im not looking in the rite place in the book, but I dont see where some of them connect either, like the 2 single pin - & +. |

| For the power and reset switch, it doesn't matter which way you plug it in. Only for the LED's does it matter. If you plug them in and they don't light up, plug them in the other way. | Check the pins on the motherboard itself, it will normally be marked + or -. If it's not marked it probably doesn't matter. Beside, trial and error :P Not like it will explode from have it on backwards. Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 Conroe @ 2.80GHz Cooler Master GeminII - Thanks Rich and HL! | HL's Technomancer | Actually, if you plug in the front LEDs wrong...the power LED will light up when the computer is off instead of when it's on. Thats how it is with my case, can't be assed to take off the panel and fiddle with the wiring so I leave it like that Not sure about the HDD activity LED yet. |

| Functional Alcoholic | After building computers for 18 years I still haven't figured it out. Every Motherboard and Every Case are different. I usually just do the trial and error. And yes with the power switch it doesn't matter. The LED's do matter. Most of the time you have to face the lettering on the leads towards the top of the motherboard, but this is not always the case. |

| Silence..Or I kill you! | Some where in the user manual there is a reference to the power, reset, hdd LED, and power led. Them are all that your really concerned with. Almost all mother boards have several extra pins in that area, but just focus on the above 4 sets of plugs ![]() As I stated, there is a reference somewhere in the user manual for these. If you can't find it, post the exact board along with the version # Usually mother boards will have some thing after the series number such as v1.3 or something of that sort. | If you have a blood iron you should talk to yellowhello. i think he is currently doing or has done a build recently with that board, he can steer you in the right direction. As for the pin plug in, except for the HDD it doesnt really matter which way they go in.
