Default Photos from my trip

Proof that I actually did go :P That's me at about 6:30 Thursday morning. I was standing in Tennesse with my back to the mountains of North Carolina. I waited for an hour and a half to get a picture of the sun coming up over the mountain, only to realize (in my stupidity) that the sun wouldn't come over the mountain until after noon :(

Forget M$ Bliss, I've got one of my own! :D

My friends and I built this another porch for a poor family.

Tennesse is the most beautiful place that I've ever been to. *sigh* Click the image to open in full size. This image and the one below it are of the Acoee river (which is where we went white water rafting and swimming). Of course, this is not the deep part of the river, by any means :P

More of the beautiful Acoee.

The mild pools of the Acoee river are filled with small waterfalls that act as a nice jacuzzi. It's also got some natural hot tubs. Click the image to open in full size.

*longing to go back*

If you look closely, you'll see the flags of quite a few countires. The Olympics were held on the Ocoee several years ago, and they left the flags there as a rememberance.

The river isn't flowing because they turn the dam off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Unfortunately, I did not get any photos while we were rafting, either :( I may be able to get a scan of one or two. I'll post them if I do.

Yes, that is still the Acoee...

I believe these photos speak for themselves.

Looks like a great place, I'll have to make a trip that way someday.

Yeah, it's really nice over there. I'm thinking about moving there; perhaps to attend the local college.

The place where we swam also had some nice natural water slides on the rocks and some underwater tunnels to swim through, though we never found the latter (we were told of it). Swimming in that river felt like a dream. It was unreal.

On Wednesday, we went to Cherokee National Forest to help clear the bike trails. You should see the view from the top of the mountain we were on! We could see the curve of the earth from there. It was the first time that I'd ever seen anything so awe-some (notice the emphasis on the "awe"). As I stould there, a tear rolled down my face.

Views from the mountains are great. I lived in northern California for quite a few years and the view from the Sierra Nevada mountains was awesome.

If you like that sort of thing I highly recommend Yellowstone and the Teton Mountains. My Dad lives just outside the north gate (Red Lodge, MT) and I always enjoy the drive up to see him.

I won't be able to come over until sometime next week. I will be with Rachel a lot this week because she has to go back to school and we can't be together like at all during the school year. At least she is a senior now and next year it won't be an issue. Oh well, I guess that the review will just not be up for a week or two... Sorry HL! Please forgive me!
