| They got him to go against the Lakers new big man. The Heat definitely got the better of this trade by losing that 20 million dollar salary and a fading star. |

| 5 Minute Mod Man | Yeah, after the Lakers acquired Gasol, the Suns definitely need a big man to combat the Bynum-Gasol combo that will be on the attack in the post season... not to mention all the other big guys on playoff teams in the West. You may be right Paul about the West teams playing to meet and get beat by the Celtics in the finals but that is only because all these West teams are gonna beat each other up in the playoffs. The best thing the West can hope for is a 7 game conference series between the Celts and the Pistons. In regards to Shaq, he will never be back to his old form... but his sheer size and experience will help the Suns. Marion's ability to guard almost anyone will be missed but we so greatly needed another big man in the middle and allow for Stoudemire to step out to a forward position. The biggest factor is just getting Shaq healthy for the post season and if they force him into their run'n'gun style then he may not make it. I just hope they seriously limit his time during the games where his size isn't needed so he is healthy when he is needed. It's going to be interesting to see how they work him into their style of play... Last edited by PrOLifIC_onE; February 6th, 2008 at 18:45. |
