| Sobering article I found for those of us that own or know people that own pets. It would seem that the largest manufacturer of pet food in North America is recalling millions of cans and foil packs of its 'meat and gravy' style pet food that is causing kidney failure in pets. Article can be read HERE. To determine if you are affected by any of the brand names of the recall, click HERE. I sincerely hope that no one is affected by this. =( Last edited by garetjax; March 17th, 2007 at 18:53. |

| I'm Diggin it! | I never feed my animals wet food. Not good for their teeth. Only dry food. So this recall will not affect any of my pets. Good lookin out though. ![]() Q6600@ 3.2GHz w/ CNPS9700 | EVGA 780i | 2Gb Corsair DDR2-800 | EVGA GTX 280 1Gb Video | 1x WD 640Gb HDD, 2x Seagate 400Gb HDD, 1x250Gb WD | 2x Samsung SH-203B Opticals | Antec 900 | ABS/Tagan BZ700 700W PSU |

| T-Rex | My animals go unscathed too. Dry food only, cat gets lucky sometime and receives a can of tuna but that's about the only wet food he gets. =) And yes good thing to know, i'll warn people. |

| Functional Alcoholic | We feed out animals wet food on a very rare occasion. Maybe once a month, if that often. Dry food is better for them even if it doesn't taste as good. |

| T-Rex | This topic is still hot. Some products are still available! We got a new dog from my dad uncle. He gave us some Iams food with it, turns out it's recalled food. We gave some to our dogs not thinking about this, hopefully everything is fine for them. :S They show no sign of renal problems but we'll watch them closely to be sure. |

There is some kind of particulate additive in the gravy of the wet food that is causing the health issues in pets. | |
