Default Pack Rat Prolific

I have been doing some fall cleaning to help make my spring cleaning a little less painful...

I have a bunch of old computers/parts and I have already resorted to throwing some away... I don't know why I keep this stuff around. I still have some P2, P3, and AMD K6-2 computers that I could probably make into running systems (I also have old HDDs and RAM), but don't know if it's worth it to waste my time with them.

So check out the poll.

P2 and K6-2 not so much depending on the power. P3 with 128mb of ram can do nice surfing computers using Ubuntu :)

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

Hey..I love old computers! Especially ones that still work. Send em my way before you toss them, all I have is an old Pentium system that's dead and unresponsive.

Throw it all on Ebay, you might be surprised what you get for some of that stuff. I posted a "Box of Computer Parts" on Ebay a few years back. I just took a picture of the parts spread out on the floor, and gave a brief run down on what was in the box. That box sold for almost $200. It was just odds and ends stuff, not even a whole computer.

Old computers from the 60's and 70's fetch a high price on the collectors market, especially the ones that still run can get up into the $5k bracket. I wouldn't mind having a few old Pentium systems and hocking them off in about 30 years or so. Still determined to get ahold of one of those old Cray supercomputers.

Could probably retire if you had one of those, that would bring an amazing amount of money!!!!!
