Plane flies five passengers from US to London - Telegraph

American Airlines flies 5 people from USA to London on a Boeing 777, and all the environmentalists are up in arms.

I tend to lean toward the more environmentally friendly side of things, but this is ridiculous. Airlines have schedules to keep and they have to fly the plane. Like was stated in the article, there were people that had a flight scheduled on that same plane from London back to the US. It sucks, but lots of businesses waste things every day, this really isn't that out of the ordinary...

I mean, I'm a supporter of environmental awareness and making progress towards greener living and all that. But these hardcore environmentalists are always making big deals out of silly stuff, they have no concept of practicality.

did it in taiwan, not so bad. besides what were you gonna do for those people in london waitin to come back to the US? because you know planes don't just make 1 way, they do round trip with the same plane. I think personally its just people making too much of a deal out of nothing.
