| Colonel Calamity | the reason is that CA has their own gas taxes and fuel formulation... when you have a specific area or region with their own custom blends of gasoline, it will cause prices to be much higher there.. New York and Chicago proper is the same way, their own custom blends of gas and super high gas taxes. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | The ethanol blend here is the cheapest and yes the area does dictate prices as well. |

| Colonel Calamity | The county I am in has their own tax on gas that is around 5 cents per gallon... plus the city I am in has another 5-10 cents per gallon.. so gas has been staying around 3.96-4.03 for a while now... yet I can go one county over and pay $3.85, usually 10-15 cents cheaper. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair!
