President Bush told an interviewer that his presidency may have helped Barack Obama win the White House. "I think it was a repudiation of Republicans," he told Charlie Gibson of ABC News, according to a transcript released by the network Monday. "And I'm sure some people voted for Barack Obama because of me. I think most people voted for Barack Obama because they decided they wanted him to be in their living room for the next four years explaining policy."

He has gotten quite a bit right; they just don't report any of it in the News. He started loosing popularity early on in his second term and never got it back. Americans are a bunch of fair weather fans, so if what they hear is negative, then they will believe it’s all negative. Just like with Clinton in his second term. He got caught up in a scandal and all of a sudden everyone forgot about the good. Once you start loosing face in the media, they crucify you, and Americans are a bunch of lemmings and follow the crowd, which is why Obama got elected. The media got Obama elected, not Bush, but they are so good at it they even convinced Bush of it. You will never make everyone happy no matter what you do.

Other than needing to go to Iraq I don't see much that Bush got right and I'm not all that sure that was the right move. Maybe Afghanistan is where we should have concentrated our efforts instead. Anyway it's all mute in about 50 days.

From my stand point he was great. I make over 50% more now then I did 8 years ago. All my benefits have gone up, and a better quality of life all around. Military housing has gotten a lot better. Under Clinton they had Military families living in houses that should have been condemned. Bush took office and there has been none stop construction of military housing, and they have torn down the substandard Military housing. Brand new Medical facilities, Commissaries, and PX’s at many major military installations. Military life is much better now; we have new equipment that was desperately needed, thanks to the Iraq war. Single Soldiers are getting brand new barracks Army wide. It took 8 years to fix what Clinton let fall to the wayside. Bitch about him all you like, my life is better, and I am affected a hell of a lot more by the President then you ever will be.

I agree with this message. I may not agree with the way Iraq was handled, but overall, President Bush will prove out through the 20/20 vision of time to of made some hard assed, unpopular choices, but choices that have led the world to having a much more critical eye on Islamic terrorists.

Bitch all you want about the man, he has a lot of things about him worthy of bitching over. But I wouldn't want his job for any amount of money. And as Hitman said, the life of those in the military has gotten so much better than when Clinton was in office.

Just my opinion, Iraq was the right war at the wrong time. It created a power vacuum in the middle east and seriously destabilized the whole region.....it also took all the support and goodwill we had with other countries and turned it into pure hatred. Our efforts should have been completely focused on Al-Quaeda and bringing to justice those responsible for 9/11.

As much as I believe the blame should be spread equally, the President surrounded himself with greedy scumbags who robbed the working class of this country for their own gains.

In the end, I liked President Bush, I think his heart was in the right place, but he is responsible for those he hired to make decisions, and a majority of those decisions were awful.

Bush is a righteous man and has done great and very important things for this country and the world.

He failed regarding:
  1. Immigration policy and policing.
  2. Busting the criminal Dems [Now cabinet members] for trashing the economy.
  3. Exposing the green movement started by [Communist] Gorbachev and promoted by dikweed Gore.
  4. Leveraging the Iraq war towards asset management.
  5. Positioning the USA to posture against a Muslim coup.
In each area he had his hand forced and/or manchurian manipulated.

Due to the above ... the USA is screwed. He delayed numbers of things and it should be accredited to him as righteousness.

Americans believe their media. Idiots. Pigs for the slaughter.
