Default No bribes on this site

DailyTech - NVIDIA Coughs Up iPods for Articles

We may get some occasional freebies but what is nice about HL is that we do not take bribes for our reviews.
Remember that when reading some of the "other" reviews on other sites.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Damn. All I ever got was a broke jar of Jelly Beans...
But then again nVidia stopped talking to me a long time ago when I told them the 590 SLI was junk ;)
No iPod for me... :(

That article isn't even close to the worst of it. Wait and see, I'm thinking more is coming on this.

This has been an issue for sometime now and I deal with it daily with my work. ISP company X bundles their security package with Z anti-virus which is free for as long as they use them for their ISP but as soon as it is canceled, anti-virus Z requires payment or they cut off the updates.
Just because its free doesn't mean that it will sway everyone into saying their product is better.

I am now wondering if Capper has an inside scoop on something...???

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Bwahaha! Just goes to show that greed and a little extra lip service on a new review sample on the part of a review site can go a long way. How pathetic. I'm glad to see that the integrity that some review sites tout is as strong as the freebies that they get from the vendors who send them samples.

Nothing says "sell out" more than a review site who's integrity can be bought and sold at will.

I can honestly say I have never allowed anyone to sway me with regards to a review.
I tell everyone upfront that if the product is crap... I will say it is crap.
Of course that has gotten "cut-off" by a few companies in the past. But hey I know that what I write is what I actually see when I use the product.

Everyone give a big welcome to Sean (Athildja-x64), he's a big reason the PlanetAMD64 has such a devout following.

I've heard some stories over the past week, but can't really say anything right now. I'd like to leave that sort of stuff to the INQ and DailyTech, I'm sure they have a much better and bigger picture of things, and I am not a fan of gossip.

I had a feeling he was a mover and shaker in a review site outside of HL. I think the comment he made concerning nVidia's 590 SLI as being junk kind of gave it away. ;)

In any case, welcome to HL Sean! =)
