Sigh... 720p TV. I want to get that 50" Samsung 1080p DLP at Best Buy for $1699 this week (people, jump on this one).
Samsung - 50" 1080p DLP HDTV - HL-S5087

Can't beat that price for a DLP 1080p that doesn't look like s**t.

- Core 2 Quad Q6600
- DFI Infinity 975X
- 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800
- 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM
- ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB
- Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W
- Acer 19" P191W Monitor
- Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution
- Vista Ultimate x64

if you are off center with dlp you get bad picture(small sweet spot). nothing except blurry is 1080p so you don't need it. Don't believe the hype 1080p isn't the must have everyone is saying it is. The first thing to be broadcast in 1080p is going to be the Olympics in 2 years.

what the hell was i trying to say in sentence 3? Wow I need to take a proofreading course before I reply again. SO omit sentence 2 because it makes no sense and is innacurate, 1080p is not blurry at all, but I still think for the next 2 years it is unneeded.

Worst about full HDTV's at this moment is when you need to watch a 480p signal. Unless you have a very expensive set with a good upscaler, it's going to look like crap.
I just bought a 37inch 720p LCD for my dad in November, we didn't even get hi-def cable yet because there's no interesting channel or almost. They're just starting to push out some movies channels and such. Besides that's the only thing I could afford. $999.99, after taxes $1139.49. =)

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

I kinda disagree.......The viewing angle on mine in incredible, I would say 45 degrees from center.....and as to 1080i, put an HD image up next to a 480I or P signal, and you'll see a serious difference...The image on a 480i/p looks distorted, unless you have the converter.
congrats on the TV, and enjoy it, since I've gotten mine I'm undefeated in Madden 2007 on my home turf
