New Mac commercial

Anyone seen Mac's newest commercial? It features the "PC" upgrading to vista, claiming that upgrading is not as easy as for him, and that he's going to have to upgrade his graphics card, processor, and starts rambling on about other things. He then adds that if he didn't make it, that he would like the mac to have his peripheals. I can't find a link (yet), just wanted to know if anyone else has seen it. And wanted to know how you guys think microsoft will react, as they have just crossed the border of not naming any particular in particular to calling out Microsoft's new OS.

I've seen it a few times. I find it funny they say that considering Vista's minimum is a 64MB GPU and an 800MHz Pentium 3...Sure It will be slow, but so is OSX on a G3 iMac.

I've seen it a few times myself (on t.v.), I thought it was very well done.
Not 'in-your-face-MicroSoft!', but tasteful.

I HATE ALL MAC COMMERCIALS.

Seriously.
They are the most deceptive thing I've seen ever. All macs are trendy. Typical of those who own them.
Macs are the analogue of wearing a pair of 7" high heels instead of wearing tennis shoes to a track meet.

They look nice, and are expensive, but in the end, you're SOL, because your stuck with something pretty on the outside, but weak in performance.



AAHHH I really just wanna punch Steve Jobs' advertising team in the throat. I wish I had $1,000,000s of dollars so I could show the truth about how terrible macs really are.

Not very open-minded when it comes to a Macintosh there, eh, Zambini?

Macs are not really my thing, but I respect what they are designed to do. For instance, the Mac version of Adobe Photoshop really is superior to the PC version, and the whole iLife thing is giving some people a life that didn't have one at all before it came around. As for pure computing power, now that you can run Windows on a Mac, you may notice there are fewer differences than you want, and your "rage" toward them is unfounded.

Then again, everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinion, and if someone would rather hold a grudge based on outdated information, that is their right.

how often do upgrades take lots of time, and are super-difficult?
at most 10mins to plug in your new card and a reboot. THAT WAS OH SO DIFFICULT!

They won't. While the Mac ads aren't particularly accurate, I love the humor and wish the PC industry would release funny ads of their own. And with Microsoft, I don't think they want to get into a commercial battle of the wits, as there's far too much ammunition for Mac aficionados to use against them, including the ever present BSoD trump card.

Disappointingly, the only responses we're like to see are those which crop up on YouTube.

Slightly off topic but I went to YouTube looking for the commercial. Couldn't find it but I did run into some funny pc/mac videos.

I especially like the last sentence in this one...

Paul - I wasn't thinking of a commercial war, I was thinking about microsoft taking legal action, since now they can.
