| Hey guys. I decided to make this thread to show you guys some ideas. I've been working on some Photoshop creations lately and I've come up with some designs I'm really taking a liking to. Wood. Plain and simple. It all started with my new web design project for my cousin's soon to be new company. More on that later, when the time is right. But in light of that, this is the new version of my sig that I'm working on that will give you an idea of what I mean. I have some wallpapers going that I'll post tonight with corresponding designs - who knows what it could become! Hope you guys like it. ![]() Cheers! | ||||||||||||||

| First version of a wallpaper. This was quite quick and on the spot, so to speak, so don't rate it like you would one of my lengthier projects ;) Widescreen (16:10): 1920x1200: ![]() 1680x1050: ![]() Widescreen (16:9): Coming Soon Fullscreen (4:3 or 5:4): 1600x1200: ![]() 1280x1024: ![]() Also, after looking more closely at them, I'm not sure if the Wood concept shows ultra clearly...but there are more revisions to come for sure. Enjoy for now (hopefully). Have a good one, Jon Last edited by [Dr. V]; January 11th, 2008 at 22:06. | ||||||||||||||

| Looks decent. Real wood has some imperfections though, so the wallpaper "clearly" shows a pattern in the drawing. I wonder if there's any way for you to add some imperfections to give it a more authentic feel (as opposed to computer generated). Other than that maybe a lighter version too? Those are pretty dark all around, I think maybe one with a bit more contrast between HL and the background would be great. :) As for your sig, on the beast use the masking tool (with the brush for masking) instead of really cutting the image. It will give you smoother borders that will "blend" easier with the background. ![]() If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you? | ||||||||||||||

| I thought this was in reference to that porn convention that Rich and Paul went to.... the sig looks good, may need to bring more definition to the grain but otherwise looks decent. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | You all make excellent points. Like I mentioned before the wallpaper was very quick in terms of imperfections, they are more clearly visible in the sample signature I posted. In lieu of that, I've already been working more closely on a new one that's gonna have a lot more detail and time put into it than the one I posted up there. BTW, check my wallpapers thread for a new addition - I personally love it! | ||||||||||||||
