Default New Book Shows How to Build Lego Guns

Quote:
Legos — they're not just for good kids anymore.
A book written by two former employees of the Danish plastic-brick giant is burning up the Amazon.com sales charts — and raising eyebrows on the other side of the Atlantic.
"Forbidden LEGO: Build the Models Your Parents Warned You Against" was published in August by No Starch Press, a small independent publishing house based in San Francisco.
Its authors, Ulrik Pilegaard and Mike Dooley, both worked at the Lego Mindstorms robotics division before leaving to join an independent robotics firm.
"You'll learn to create working models that LEGO would never endorse," the book's page on the publisher's Web site promises. "Try your hand at a toy gun that shoots LEGO plates, a candy catapult, a high voltage LEGO vehicle, a continuous-fire ping-pong ball launcher, and other useless but incredibly fun inventions."

Thats my childhood! FPS Justin and I used to building little toys out of lego and K'nex. They could actually shoot pretty well and hurt a fair bit.

I won't be impressed until I see a 5 yr old Davey Crockett wannabee take out a Grizzly bear from 20 yds with a LEGO/LINCOLN LOG cannon.

That pistol is pathetic. There isn't enough power in it to travel more than a couple feet.

Didn't I tell you? We were once playing in the backyard and one showed up. It opened it's mouth big and wide and we shot it in the throat, it choked, then died.

Maybe, shot a pellet gun a few times, lots of airsoft, some paintball, no real guns though. My point is that it's not too shabby for a toy gun made out of little plastic bricks.

Yea. I've shot all of the above save for paintball. I've been meaning too but there aren't too many places around here where you can. I've fired an m16 and an m4. As well as a .22 Ruger, a .45, several types of .22 long rifles... glock.. it's alot of fun.
