Default Need a server for FAH Remote

I've just started writing the code for the FAH remote console (Windows only at the moment, but I'm planning on a Linux version ASAP). I'll post the source code after I'm finished with the basic functions.

However, I'm in need of a reliable FTP server. It won't require much, but my home server isn't reliable enough. If any of you would be willing to provide a small amount of webspace for the project, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh

What about SourceForge.net?

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

I am actually planning a home website server myself here on my 600MHz Celeron... but I know enough to install Ubuntu-Server and thats pretty much it... without written instructions I am lost
I already have the no-ip.org setup ready to go

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I'm not sure that's capable of what I need or not. I'll have to check into it. The console's going to connect to an executable file on the server that'll store the files in a fah log folder. Just having the logs available on the server will be the initial functionality, but once that's accomplished, I (and whoever is interested in helping) will write some php scripts for browsing and searching the logs.

The executable file approach will only work on a Windows server with what I have in mind, so I'm going to try to muster up a script to interact with the php scripts, which would be very preferable. I've never done that though, and I'm having a hard time finding anything on Google about it.

Well, it's not really complicated or anything with a package manager like Ubuntu and Fedora have. After you check Apache and PHP for installation, you just have to turn on the httpd service from the System menu.

One more thing I forgot to mention. You may want to check out DYN DNS instead of no-IP. It pwns, as it acts only as a straight-up subdomain instead of an ad-showing redirector.

Ok I thought it was only for hosting your project.

I'll need that too if others are interested in developing it too, but the main reason for a server is just to host the log files. Whatever server we use needs to be available 24/7, which is why mine isn't ideal, though I can use it temporarily while I'm looking for a better one.
