Default Need prayers for a family friend

I got this email from a very good family friend, his cousin was badly wounded by an IED in iraq this last week.....These are some of the best people you could ever meet, and they have been/are huge supporters of the troops.

Quote:
Keep Deb's cousin, Jesse Slotte, in your prayers. We got an update on his injuries from the IED explosion in Iraq. He is currently under a medically induced coma in Germany. When some of the emergency procedures are done, he will then be sent to San Antonio for further procedures.

Jesse sustained major tissue damage all over from the shrapnel, both legs were broken, both arms broken, a collapsed lung, and brain swelling. A finger, his right ear, and his nose are missing, as well as a badly damaged right eye socket. Haven't heard if sight was lost in the right eye yet. Currently they are working on the brain swelling, and rebuilding the nasal cavity and eyesocket, as well as a pin in his right leg.

Thoughts and prayers go out to them. Seems it's always the nicest people you could want to meet.

as a very close friend was also hit by an IED in Iraq in 2005 (but without the extent of those injuries), I know what they can go through... my prayers are there for the family and for his recovery

Thanks HL and Corsair!
