My New 8-Legged Friend

This 'little' guy (actually, it's a female) has been hanging around outside my home:

The spider is an Argiope Aurantia, which you can read more about here. Apparently they have a venomous bite, but not strong enough to kill a human. Methinks I'll take their word for it and not pull off any jack-ass style stunts...

Good god man, that thing is crazy! Can you take a picture of it with your finger underneath for size comparison?
