| Well friend's, I haven't been posting much these last couple months because......... I was getting my wedding plans all done, then I got married (first time for both) last Saturday. I should be able to start posting more often in a couple weeks. Unless the "she who must be obeyed", has other things she wants done. ![]() Raidmax case (don't know what it's called) MSI NEO4 Platinum AMD x2 3800+ Manchester 2450mHz Apacer DDR400 2x1gb WD 3200KS 320 gb Seagate 7200.10 160gb NEC 3550A DVD RW/DL Thermaltake Big Typhoon Xp Pro x64 |

| Congrats on the nuptuals thing. Only allow her to believe she is in control. There is actually a science to the marriage thing which in time you will learn. Ron |

| It's true, women love having all the control. The Man's Guide To Female English Okay, not all girls are like that, but females do often beat around the bush when they're expressing something they want. But I wish you the best of luck! PS if she finds this thread and sees that you called her "she who must be obey," she might, uh, "cut you off." Unless that's what she's nicknamed herself.. I haz computer. |

| Colonel Calamity | I tell my wife, if she wants something done, explain how you want it done and when. when women say "we need to do this" means that it is a project to add to the list and may be done in 24 hours or 24 years. Saying "we are doing this tomorrow after work" gives an exact timeframe and expectations. I think that is one of the biggest miscommunication problems among couples, hinting and generalized phrases like "I am thinking of painting" does not mean "paint this room green by Tuesday"... I know I have had my share of women issues ![]() ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |

| Ha Ha! Agree to all the above. Congrats on the wedding, but I found that a woman changes once the ring is on the finger. My first few years were tough as we learned to communicate (or not) and live with each other. Best wishes and good luck! ![]() |

| Colonel Calamity | That is it exactly PRTMAN! The first 5 years or so are the roughest. The first few months are great, its almost like you're still dating or engaged but by the end of the first year, you're ready to kill each other. The newlywed sweetums phase is gone and you're finding ways to spend more time away. For some people this is dangerous as they end up in a bar or cheating. The second and third year are spent trying to work out the differences with small fights and by the 4th most have given up or just deal with it. By year 5, if you can still stand them, then think of kids or at least work on a mortgage, car payments and so on. The fights can still get rough but are few and farther inbetween and the time inbetween can be great. You have a routine going and pretty much know what to expect of the other person. My best advise for marraige and kids: Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair!
