| Movie Review: Zodiac Took Jaemie to see Zodiac last night.......
I was born and raised in San Rafael, CA in during the time this movie covers, and vaguely remember it from the news.
Very good movie, no action, a lot of dialogue, but it focuses more on presenting the facts and covering the investigation of the serial killer that terrorized the Bay Area in the late 60's and early 70's. Its incredible how badly the people investigating the crimes botched it, and even more incredible the whole thing went unsolved.
The acting is excellent, Robert Downey Jr plays a reporter covering the crimes who is battling a drug/alcohol addiction (Not a stretch for him). Jake Gyllenhaall , who I can't look at without thinking of "Brokeback Mountain" is an obsessed newspaper artist who goes on to write the book, and Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Edwards are the SF Cops investigating the crimes (Ruffalo is excellent).
Anyway, it's long and doesn't have a lot of action, but if you like murder/mysteries it is a very good movie. INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU |
