Supplier Under Scrutiny on Aging Arms for Afghans - New York Times

Hey, a lot of you guys are or were in the military. Taking the article at face value, how in the world does this happen? Doesn't the Army have someone investigate the bidders to ensure they're dealing with reputable firms/individuals?

First of all consider the source, the NY times isn't exactly known for accurate reporting. I have never worked in logistics, so I am not exactly sure of the military's procurement procedures. I do know that some research goes into the process. I can also understand how something like this can go unnoticed.

Yeah, the NY Times is a liberal shit hole that does nothing but stir the pot.

That aside, sildiers never see or hear anything about this stuff....its our fantastically corrupt politicians who handle all this, and sweep it under the rug so no one else sees how the wheels are greased.


I don't know about all of you, but ANY respect I had for Billary disappeared months ago, and stuff like her "sniper" story is just more of the same Clinton BS.....and i like how they decided to send Chelsea out on the campaign trail, and then not allow anyone to ask her questions....if she were 12 yrs old I could understand it......but she's a 26yr old tramp now.....pathetic.......then you have Billary and Obama bickering like 8 yr olds......great stuff......

My point? These people don't care about you or I....They don't care about the issues or fixing whats wrong in this country, they are just power whores who want to run the country.
