Default Military people...check something for me

I can log into MaxPC forums, VTX motorcycle forums and my gaming clan forums, but not HL from our military computers at work. If I hit up a redirect, I can sometimes get into the forums....if it takes me directly to a forum topic.

Our firewall keeps returning blocked as Chat or blocked as gaming. Do any of you other guys have this problem? I doubt DOIM is going to give me access to HL if I request it as work required.

I don't have a problem getting to it at Ft Sill. I sit on HL all day at work. It depends on what firewall they are using on your post, they all filter differently, and look for different keywords.

The Air Force blocked them long ago. They firewalled pretty much everything imaginable...I can't even check my own college website from a DoD computer. My solution: I'm on a mailing list with Pecefire.org on my home hotmail account and I mail myself the proxy sites as I need them at work. So, so good. I hope that helps.

Your only real shot is for Capper to change his keywords, and I wouldn't expect him to do that because it could hurt his search-ability.

He could use a web proxy of some sort maybe?

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

the-cloak home

Anonymouse.org

Hide My Ass! Free Proxy - Free Web Proxy - Free Anonymous Browsing

You can see if any of those work, The-Cloak is a good pick, Anonymouse so-so, and hidemyass should be called dragass instead but most firewalls don't have it blocked.

If you use the same computer every day, you can also try software based which are more effective and faster like TOR which I use, or Squid-Cache.

I have a buddy who is pretty high ranking, civilian side, on Fort Rucker. I spoke to him earlier today and he thinks he may be able to get something done with DOIM. He said he plays golf with a couple of the supervisors out there. Have to wait and test out the waters there.

Ever since I looked at some link one of you posted, my access to HL has been cut off. At the time, I made the comment that I was in shitty trouble and would be amazed to see me on HL from work again. It's been 4 months at least. Maybe the think I have served my time.

Watching 5th Element on TV. Gotta go.
