I built a new computer for my mom for Christmas, how lame am I? Hahaha! She mentioned that she wanted to see the Polar Express, so I think I'm going to buy her the DVD as a supplemental gift. :)

Nothing wrong with that at all!!?? First, gifts are from the heart.....it doesn't matter if its a simple card or a $2500 computer, its the thought that counts.

for sure man.....I didn't have anything to give my parents, but I did drop by and grace them with my presence, and I guess they were happy about that so I kinda made up for being broke this Christmas. Elsewise, speaking of which, how was everyone's Christmas? Mine was ok, got a couple of things, but like Rich said it's the thought that counts :D

Haha, thanks for the support guys! Honestly, I probably got more satisfaction out of the new computer than my Mom, but hey, that old Dell has been chugging away for long enough. This new one should last another 10 years, haha! DVD's should be here tomorrow. :)

My Christmas was uneventful, but good! Grad school is a real energy-drainer, so it was good to come home. I used to be eager to get back to school when I was an undergrad, but for the past two years, I just can't get enough of home, haha! I guess I'm getting old. I value R&R over fun. Well, I guess that wouldn't be the case if I were having fun at school. Funny, I left home at the age of 14 and never got homesick, but now I'm starting to miss my parents and want to come home more often. I guss it's a good thing. :)
