That and all the crap that's been going on at the schools as of late. New Brockton was on lockdown for 2 hours Friday because of a hit list found in the bathroom and cartridges, or so I've heard. Haven't heard anything on the news about it though. Hope all goes over well!

A local school in my area went under lockdown after a gun threat or something. It was a few days ago.

Hahaha Kansas schools are crazy. Is it true that the Kansas board of edu. passed a law requiring students to learn about creationism (which is a load of bullcrap)?

Yes, but you learn it in Biology, which I was almost done with when the law passed.

Here's my take on it. If you teach the "Big Bang" theory, and won't give equal "airtime" to Creationism, neither should be taught. Double standard there.

This thread is about the craziness of life. Anything leaning towards a heavy political or religious topic will more than likely get this thread locked. So we tend to stay at a good distance when discussing these topics.

About the only crazy part of my day was seeing two dead squirrels and a chipmunk on the road all within about 100 feet of each other only to see another squirrel perched on the side of the road just waiting for his chance...to meet his maker...

I also saw a blue jay making a nest in the broken lantern outside the door to my apartment, that was a little odd.

I'm right behind you on the 'double standards' thing fellow Dude but, surely if we can have free and open discussion on the nonsense things of life, we should also be able to have the same free and open discussion on the serious side of life.

Just seems like double standards to me!

Good luck out there mate and keep the head down. Don't be too concerned about the cat though - in Britain it is considered to be extremely lucky if a black cat crosses your path. Be safe mate, and kick some Iraqi ass
