| there are unfortunately many products that dont get enough (or good enough) reviews. biggest category probably being monitors. many of the existing ones dont run many tests if at all, and just give biased opinions like "the look isnt nice" and thats it. obviously its good to give a personal touch, but the whole point of the review is to tell about the product. given that HL has no monitor review section, i think it'd be really great if we could add one. also, a lot of the "no name" monitors are AMAZING and have no reviews at all. for example, the Sceptre Gaming Monitor (X22WG-Gamer) 22" LCD Widescreen observed here is definitely one of the better and best quality displays ive seen! not to mention the ports, but the picture is so perfect, and hardly any backlight - panel is 8-bit, awesome expandability, great interface, EVERYTHING! but no real reviews...just *AWESOME* customer comments which don't do much except say how great it is (along side that is the obvious thats missing). so this is just a suggestion to definitely have a monitor review section on the site. i think it would be an AWESOME addition to an already great site full of good reviews. monitors are the only thing missing as i see it. any comments? p.s. to those who read and acknowledge, which i know most will, i appreciate you taking the time to do so! |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | Monitors are covered under the "peripherals" forum. We don't review them (not many sites do), and they are probably the least purchased component, so theres no real need for a separate forum INTEL E8400 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 4GB DDR3-1600 // Palit HD 4870 // Antec 1200 // Seagate 750GB HDD // Zalman CNPS9700 // BFG ES 800W PSU |

| I'm Diggin it! | We don't get monitors for review. So it's pretty hard to do reviews for products we don't have. | thats what im saying members! doesnt necessarily have to be product u guyz regularly get. new monitors by members, stuff like that they can hold good reviews on them have a section for them. that would be great! as soon as im feeling better i can review my samsung, and screwball has one coming up, and so on. we can build on it, it could be great! |

| Forums reviews would be fine, not main site reviews though. The equipment needed to properly test monitors cost quite a bit of money ![]() Opteron 64 165--1.5GB DDR--ECS KA1 MVP(thanks HL!)--x1800GTO 256MB--Seagate 320GB SATA--Antec 550 Watt--Antec P180 |

| Colonel Calamity | right and considering I only build new systems every 2-3 years for around $1000, that is not an expense I can afford. I am someone that has always had standard CRTs and only use LCDs for office work, not every day use, gaming, video encoding, etc... now I have the chance and will strain it as I do everything else to see how well it keeps up with my CRTs ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair!
