Default The Joseph Virus

Over the past few days I have been getting weird Delivery Notification: Delivery has failed emails. I mean a crap load of them. Well I just ignored them and sent them to junk mail. My computer at work was down all afternoon so I didn't get a chance to check my email at work. When I came home I checked my email. Turns out this problem has affected every Joseph in the U.S. Army. My inbox was filled with replies from every other Joseph in the Army complaining about it. As you can see from the Screen shot of my Inbox, thats all the replies from Joseph's. I have to say its been pretty funny reading all the emails.

You know what, my name isn't Joseph, but I have a couple in my AKO mail address book. I had about 30 of them, all replying back and forth to each other. You know how long it can take to delete mail in AKO...so I wasn't too happy trying to pick out the stuff I *really* needed from the crap. Especially since one of the Training Developers I work with is named Joseph and he's at Eustis and I'm here at Rucker. Arguh!

I left the office this afternoon for a little over an hour and when I came back they had pulled my computer off the network. They told me there was a problem with it, but no one seemed to know what it was. Well I think this was it, because my outlook was open, and I have my AKO and my Exchange both going to my outlook at work. So I think I was getting hit by both, so that would have created a huge slow down in my office. I will figure it out tomorrow.

Now that I've looked at my AKO mail again, I see Joseph is this guys last name. His first name is Thomas, and all the other emails I got with the failed delivery are from people with the first name of Thomas. About 30 more after lunch.

Edit....anyone with Thomas somewhere in their name is on my AKO mail...along with Joseph's with Thomas in their name.

AKO will lock it down here soon I'd imagine. Not much makes it through there before they lock the whole dang thing down for as long as it takes them to patch it up.
