Default iXoft contest...

Hello all... This is Pete from TT starting a small contest here on HardwareLogic. As some of you may know, we just recently released a laptop cooler pad called the iXoft (i-soft). More Details

The reason I like this product is because I thought of some other ways to use it besides using it as a notebook cooler.

So here is the contest. There are two parts...

Part 1: Submit your ideas on how you can use the iXoft OTHER than a notebook cooler.
Part 2: I will make a poll where I will choose 10 ideas from part 1 and members can vote on what they think is the most creative idea is.

Winner will get an .... iXoft....

Rules: Kind of...

Remeber to think outside of the box, also, the submissions should be something you can and will actually do if you had an iXoft... I cant stop you from posting crazy ideas but if I feel its not something you would do, Im not gonna pick it.... So far there are some pretty good ones sooo keep it up and dont forget to tell your friends to contribute! Also, first come first dibs... If there are two of the same ideas, I will choose whoever posted first.

Let the Hardness begin!

Oh yea, this will go on for a week and then the next part for a week... starting... NOW.

I'd sit on it, for those sweaty Quake 3 sessions. You know... i'm sure you know. :P

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

Use it to keep my Beer cool while outdoors (on the golf course in my case)
Use it to cool myself while deployed in Iraq.
Use it on my Kids to cool down a fever.
Use it on a sprang.

Guys cmon, we all know already that the best use it to cool down the crack when you're gaming hard. I'm sure someone here experienced that once. :P

i'd use it as a passive heatsink in the voltage regulator on my solar-assist model planes (current school project)

Well now, I would not only use it to cool the lap top, but also to drape over the back of my 19" wide screen LCD monitor to help cool the inside of the monitor

1) Use it as a cooling pad to lay hot curling irons and hair dyers on. (My wifes idea)
2) The pad looks sweet, so I would put a piece of plexiglass over the pad and use it as a mousing surface.
3) It looks soft and fluffly, so I'd also use it as a kitty cat bed for my cat to lay on.
4) Possibly use it as a frozen food defroster... make frozen foods defrost faster.
5) Use it when replacing hot light bulbs - no more burnt fingers!

I'd use it to keep my fingers cool when bowling, or possibly as a neck cooler thing, like all the taxi-drivers have
