When I choose the bass booster setting on my iPod, I get so much distortion compared to my speakers. I know it's a horrible comparison, but to help, I don't use the iPod headphones. I'm using the Creative headphones that came with my bro's Audigy 2 ZS. Any ideas on the best setting for improved bass without distorting? - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64

How about not turning it up until your ears bleed?

I don't turn it up all the way. It's actually around half way. - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64

But yeah, as someone mentioned earlier, your best bet for better sounding bass from headphones is to invest in a decent pair of cans. I would reccomend you take a look this website as it gives you some great information about decent priced cans (by budget) that are not overly expensive but sound great.
